Dry-Fruit Storage Boxes for Indian Homes
Start with the job you want the box to do. Keeping separate quantities in a cupboard and bringing several foods to a table create different requirements. A shared serving tray may suit presentation while individual containers may suit different refill quantities. Neither format automatically proves better freshness.

Start with the square container for one small quantity. Compare individual Classic jars when separate access matters, and the tray set when serving several portions together is the priority. Resolve the Classic lid and tray details before ordering; the square container has the clearer supplied-parts record.
Separate storage from serving
Write down each food you normally keep, the amount you purchase and the amount you expect to serve at once. Include the remainder present when you refill. A box advertised by its combined capacity may distribute that volume into compartments that do not suit your quantities.
For a shared box, establish whether the compartments are removable and whether they have individual lids. Removing one outer cover may expose all compartments; independent lids create a different access routine. Do not infer separate seals from dividers or a photograph of neatly separated foods.
For individual boxes, count how many you would need and where each would stand. Include the work of opening, closing and carrying several pieces. Your decision can favour a serving tray for table use without treating it as a verified substitute for every ingredient's storage requirements.
Build a quantity and closure worksheet
Use one row per food. Record its usual working quantity, measured volume where practical, candidate's nominal volume, closure type and intended position. Add a column for the information still missing. Avoid converting a nominal millilitre figure into a universal gram capacity for almonds, raisins or mixed dry fruits.
If you want one serving box, record the quantity needed in each compartment rather than only the total. If removable cups are involved, confirm their individual capacities and whether their lids are included. A large outer box does not prove that its smallest compartment fits your most frequently used food.
The monthly grocery container sizing guide provides a broader sizing method. Retain food identification, dates and the original packet's storage instructions when planning any transfer. This guide does not establish safe storage duration for your food.
Borosil square 320 ml: one small quantity
The official Borosil page identifies the selected square 320 ml container as BGFGBKNS0105. It lists 12 × 12 × 6.5 cm and 260 g, with one glass container and one plastic lid supplied. The dimensional axes and whether protruding clips are included are not stated.
The documented glass body can be cleaned with soap and a soft sponge or in a dishwasher. The care instructions exclude the plastic lid from conventional ovens and microwaves, prohibit direct flame and abrasive scourers, and warn against placing a hot dish on a cold or wet surface. Separate lid and seal dishwasher instructions remain unresolved. Borosil’s extra-lid collection lists two square 320ml spare pages, identified as SQ320LIDGASE and KNSACCSQ320S2EC. The KNSACCSQ320S2EC page describes compatibility with 320 ml square containers and top-rack dishwasher care for that spare lid. Neither inspected page names BGFGBKNS0105 or explains the different codes. Obtain exact replacement and revision correspondence before treating either as a compatible spare or applying its gasket-care directions to this container.
Consider this container when an individual small container suits your measured quantity. Choose another format if you need a divided serving tray or confirmed opening and clip clearance. Its nominal capacity does not prove your food's weight fit, sealing performance or shelf life. The comparison button opens the manufacturer’s product page.
Two Classic jar alternatives need component clarification
The standalone Classic 300 ml jar identifies SKU BCLJR960300 and states product dimensions of 9.6 × 9.6 × 5.9 cm and a weight of 105 g. However, its title says SS lid while the supplied-components field says plastic lid. The axes, inclusion of the closed lid and opening diameter are not specified. Keep the lid material and its cleaning instructions unresolved; neither the title nor the conflicting component field settles the supplied assembly.
The three-jar set with wooden tray identifies BCLJRWT3300 and three nominal 300 ml capacities. It states a set weight of 1.013 kg and dimensions of 37.5 × 48 × 26.5 cm without assigning them to the individual jars, tray or packaging. Its supplied-components text lists three glass jars with three wooden trays, leaving the exact arrangement unclear. Its care text discusses a plastic lid and glass heating permissions without resolving the wooden tray's care.
Both Classic formats need component clarification. Confirm the exact parts, individual closed footprints and care for each lid and tray before comparing them with the square container. Do not apply broad dishwasher or heating wording to a wooden tray. Three small jars do not substitute for one larger container merely because their nominal capacities add to 900 ml.
Measure closed space and operating space
Record the clear shelf width, depth and height, including obstructions along the route into the cupboard. Then establish the container's closed envelope and the space needed to operate clips or remove its lid. A box can fit while closed but still require moving other items before opening.
For a tray, consider where it will stand while you serve. Confirm whether handles, raised edges or a cover affect its footprint. For separate boxes, lay out the proposed number on paper using verified dimensions. Do not treat a packaging measurement as the product footprint.
Stacking adds another unresolved requirement unless the exact manufacturer documents it. A flat-looking lid does not establish a secure loaded stack or an allowed number of tiers. Record stacking as unknown where evidence is missing.
Check every component's care
List the body, lid, dividers, removable cups and seals separately. Record each part's material and cleaning instructions. A dishwasher statement about the body cannot automatically be applied to the lid or seal. Likewise, an oven-safe body does not establish heating permission for the assembled box.
Before buying a design with removable pieces, establish how those pieces are cleaned and reassembled. Where a seller's broad statement conflicts with component-specific manufacturer instructions, keep the conflict unresolved rather than selecting the more convenient claim.
The glass versus stainless-steel container comparison and airtight versus regular container guide cover related decisions. Neither material nor a closure label proves a particular food-storage outcome.
Match the selected offer
An exact Amazon variant must agree with the maker's model, shape, capacity and included pieces. Another 320 ml container can be a different round model or product range. Similar naming and capacity alone are insufficient.
For these options, settle lid and seal care and obtain opening measurements wherever fit depends on them. Current delivery and exact marketplace correspondence remain unverified; no seal or storage-life result has been tested.
Common questions
Does one shared lid seal every compartment independently? No independent sealing should be inferred. Verify the exact design and included inner lids.
How many grams fit in 320 ml? No dry-fruit weight-fit result has been established here. Use your intended quantity and the maker's fill guidance.
Will a box keep dry fruits fresh for a fixed number of months? This research supports no such promise. Follow the food's storage instructions; container capacity and material do not establish a universal duration.
