Define the storage task and location

Record the quantity you normally need to organise, the intended location and how you will retrieve items. Assign contents to individual baskets rather than treating the whole rack as one undivided capacity. Compare one exact variant at a time

Use a worksheet with exact model, selected tier count, basket count, external dimensions, usable basket dimensions, opening route, per-tier load, total load, assembly instructions, wheel instructions and component care. Mark unresolved fields as unknown.

A dimension or weight attached to a five-tier model should not be assigned to a selected six-tier model. Package weight should not become empty rack weight. A large number of tiers should not become a kilogram capacity without manufacturer load documentation.

Held candidate: Plantex redesigned three-tier GI-steel rack

The live official Plantex listing now documents a black GI-steel countertop rack with declared length, width and height of 30.5 × 18 × 47.5 cm. Its table labels 2.10 kg as product weight. These are manufacturer declarations, not our measurements; they supersede the earlier incomplete extraction for the current page.

The listed cleaning method is to wipe with a damp cloth, towel dry, and avoid harsh chemicals or acidic cleaners. No dishwasher or immersion permission is established.

Tier identity still needs clarification: the title and description sentence say three-tier, but a description subheading says two-tier. An exact SKU, correspondence to the previously displayed redesigned option, usable basket dimensions and load limits remain unresolved. This candidate stays on hold. No rust-proof guarantee, preservation result or purchase recommendation is adopted.

Rotating-trolley alternative excluded

The previously researched MECHDEL/JD FRESH rotating trolley had conflicting tier and brand information. Its supplier page returned “not found” during the latest check, so it has been removed from the shopping comparison. No replacement URL or current offer is assumed.

Check access, assembly and cleaning together

Compare the contents you intend to place in each basket with documented load limits. If limits are missing, do not infer them from the rack's material or product weight. Check manufacturer assembly and wheel instructions for the exact model before assigning a storage location.

Plan how you will remove debris and clean individual baskets, joints and wheels. Confirm whether baskets detach and what cleaning method each component permits. A broad label such as washable needs a component-level instruction before it becomes a practical maintenance routine.

Decide which format fits the location

For a countertop, establish the Plantex tier count, usable basket sizes and loading instructions before committing to its listed footprint. For a modular cabinet, use the Akway variant’s channel-inclusive measurements and confirm the complete fitting kit. Neither format becomes a suitable purchase simply because the closed exterior fits an empty space.

Modular basket alternative: Akway Swadhi

The official Swadhi page lists 16-inch width and length with several heights and partition options. Its width includes a channel allowance; usable interior is smaller. Confirm the chosen variant and whether channels are supplied before using those figures for cabinet fit. Care calls for gentle dry cleaning, occasional barely-damp wiping and immediate drying. The current maker page gives about 2–5 kg per compartment, but does not assign an exact limit to each height and partition variant; do not treat 5 kg as a universal rating. Food-contact documentation remains unresolved. This modular basket is not an established substitute for a freestanding rack, and no exact Amazon offer is verified.
